Plot Outline

Brady is a 19 year old mechanic, working his hands to the bone, but working on cars and motorcycles is his passion. He doesn't care that his parents yell at him and hate that he is constantly dirty and sweaty. His life is going good, fantastic even. Until, Kristy calls and tells him it's over and she's moving away. He's heartbroken, He sinks into a depression wanting her back. He doesn't go to work anymore, drinks away his depression, but the sadness is just to deep down; one can only drink so much for so long before they become numb and immune to the effects of  . Brady mopes around his house for months on end, refusing to talk to any one with any advice on what to do. He doesn't want advice. He wants her back in his life. He will do anything to win her back, regardless how hard that will be.

*Note: In writing this I do not promote drinking away issues or "solving" depression by quitting every activity that once made you have the desire to get up in the morning. If you or anyone you know has depression please seek help if it is severe.*
Dialouge Sketch

*This is a scene where Jake and Brady talk about their differences about how a mutual friend treated Jake's girlfriend prior*

Jake to Brady: I hate him, he made her like this. She can't trust me, or anyone. Why her? Why did you cheat on her?
Brady: (On his phone) Who? Tony?

Jake: Yea, Tony.... He had no right lying to her and using her to make another girl jealous.
Brady: (Puts down his phone) Bro, you gotta let it go, it happened like forever ago. Live and forget bro.
Jake: What if someone did that to Kristy? How would you feel? I can guaruntee that you wouldn't like to hear me say, "Live and forget bro."

Brady: We are talking about your girl, not mine right now. Besides people can change.

Jake: (Taking a sip of tea) Once a cheater always a cheater, right?
Brady: Gah! Everything is so negative with you.

Jake: Brady I'm not negative about everything just about people ruining her. I think that she's beginning to trust me more though I mean she tells me things about her childhood that no one else knows... that is a start.

Brady: (Zoning out picking at his nails)That's good.
Jake: I wish he never had a chance with her, she deserves so much more than him.

Brady: That's why she's with you.

Jake: I guess your right... (paying the bill)
Brady: (Packing up his belongings from the table) I know I'm right. I'll catch you around when you have another issue.

Character in Conflict

Jake

Jeremy, I love you like a dad. Are you and mom getting married eventually? I think she wants to, I think we all want you guys to tie the knot. No, can't start that way... this writing a note to you is hard, I dont really know what I'm doing. I guess I could tell you face to face but thats hard to. I wish that I could tell you everything that I'm thinking about. Why cant I? Why is it so difficult? Mom can, Lizzie can, you can, am I challenged? Is it my fault I cant tell you how I feel? I really want you in my family permanetly. Saying that to you wont make you propose to mom. I hope it will though. Damn, I dont know... Mom called me, said she had news, uh oh....

Moms engaged!!! Jeremy proposed to her. I guess things happen for the best and apparently he asked me for my permission subtly. Im happy for her.
